The softstone corals at Hirsholmene has been proclaimed one of the top diving sites in Scandinavia



The diveclub “Koraldyk” is named after the softstone corals also known as “the bobling reef”. This dive site is an unique experience and the preferred dive site for “Koraldyk” The site is located between Hirsholmene and Frederikshavn, about a half hour boat ride from Rønnerhavnen our home base. 

 

 

You can find the softstone corals at a depth of only 9-12 metres. Occasionaly there is a strong current at the surface. There is approximately 1.5 nautical miles from the most southern to the most northern corals.



Some of the softstone corals has created a network of caves and small tunnels which is a perfect place for fish to hide. The corals are covered in seaweed and sea-anemones whose colors stand out vividly due to the relatively low depth.
